2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair
The First Jewellery Event in South China

 

2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair will take place from February 23 to 26, 2005 at the Jin Han Exhibition Centre.

Positioned as the first jewellery event in southern China in 2005, the Fair aims at promoting the jewellery business between China and the world. Staged at the beginning of a new year, the trade event is designed to provide the earliest occasion for international, Hong Kong and Chinese companies to promote brand, market jewellery products and implement sales plans. With the rapid expansion of the jewellery market in China, it is expected that over 10,000 domestic and overseas buyers will visit the 2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair.

Guangzhou, also named as “Flower City”, is one of the most economically vibrant cities in China. It always ranks among the first three most important cities in China in terms of the annual national income. It is also a matured jewellery retail centre in southern China, generating sales of over RMB 1.5 billion in recent two years. Its jewellery-processing sector has also won high acclaim in the industry. Its jewellery export amounted to US$383 million from January to April in 2004, up 21.17% over the corresponding period of previous year. As the first well-developed jewellery market of the country, Guangzhou has formed a jewellery production chain which is beneficial to the exploration of the domestic and overseas markets. Moreover, the close co-operation within the Pearl River Delta areas and the launching of the CEPA has embedded the city with new business opportunities. It is expected that the city’s jewellery industry will be greatly strengthened. And 2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair is undoubtedly an ideal location for Chinese and global trade professionals and buyers to visit.
