2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair
Gateway to International Jewellery Market

The 2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair will take place from February 23 to 26, 2005 at the Jin Han Exhibition Centre. The Fair aims at promoting the jewellery business and implementing sales plans between China and the world.

“With over 300 booths and 150 exhibitors from all over the world will participate at the fair”, announced Neway International Trade Fairs Ltd., the co-organizer of the fair at a press conference held in Guangzhou today. A fabulous range of exhibits will be displayed systemically in various pavilions, including the Panyu Jewelry Manufacturers Association Pavilion, Huadu (International) Jewelry Street, Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association Pavilion, Pearl Street, Diamond Street, Raw Materials Section and Manufacturing Machinery Section.

Domestic and overseas buyers from the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Belgium, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Nepal, Cyprus, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xian, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Hainan etc. will visit the fair.

A large-scale convention will form another important part of the 2005 Guangzhou International Jewellery Fair. Popular topics on the outlook of the
jewellery industry and integration of the Chinese and international market will also be discussed.

Leading trade professionals of China, Hong Kong and Macau will host a forum on the market development in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Area. The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade Guangzhou Office, World Gold Council and Platinum Guild International will focus on the attractiveness of the Chinese jewellery and processing industries.

Guangdong Province is an important hub of Chinese jewellery production and development. Its jewellery production accounts for 70% of the country’s total output. Its provincial capital, Guangzhou, has a long tradition in jewellery making and selling. In recent years, it has successfully built several towns, namely, Panyu and Huadu into jewellery processing districts. And 60% of Hong Kong jewellery is being processed in Guangzhou and exported to different parts of the world. This well-timed fair will provide an ideal occasion for developing and enhancing the jewellery business.
